3 on the mountains in the open country. Your wealth and all your treasures I will give for spoil as the price of your sin[a] throughout all your territory. 4 You shall loosen your hand[b] from your heritage which I gave to you, and I will make you serve your enemies in a land which you do not know, for in my anger a fire is kindled which shall burn for ever.”
5 Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
and makes flesh his arm,
whose heart turns away from the Lord.

3 My mountain in the land
and your[a] wealth and all your treasures
I will give away as plunder,(A)
together with your high places,(B)
because of sin throughout your country.(C)
4 Through your own fault you will lose
the inheritance(D) I gave you.
I will enslave you to your enemies(E)
in a land(F) you do not know,
for you have kindled my anger,
and it will burn(G) forever.”
