Do its cool waters from distant sources

    in the ancient paths.^(E)
They made them walk in byways,
    on roads not built up.^(F)
16 Their land will be an object of horror^(G)
    and of lasting scorn;^(H)
all who pass by will be appalled^(I)
    and will shake their heads.^(J)
