feed on the crown of your head.
17 “Haven’t you brought this on yourself
by abandoning Adonai your God
when he led you along the way?
18 If you go to Egypt, what’s in it for you?
Drinking water from the Nile?
If you go to Ashur, what’s in it for you?
Drinking water from the [Euphrates] River?

have cracked your skull.
17 Have you not brought this on yourselves(C)
by forsaking(D) the Lord your God
when he led you in the way?
18 Now why go to Egypt(E)

And why go to Assyria(G)
to drink water from the Euphrates?(H)
