13 Sing unto the Lord, praise ye the Lord: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of the wicked.
14 ¶ [a]Cursed be the day wherein I was born: and let not the day wherein my mother bare me, be blessed.
15 Cursed be the man that showed my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee, and comforted him.

13 Sing(A) to the Lord!
Give praise to the Lord!
He rescues(B) the life of the needy
from the hands of the wicked.(C)
14 Cursed be the day I was born!(D)
May the day my mother bore me not be blessed!
15 Cursed be the man who brought my father the news,
who made him very glad, saying,
“A child is born to you—a son!”
