Jeremiah 22:5-7
International Standard Version

5 But if you don’t listen to these words, I swear,” declares the Lord, “that this house will become a ruin.”’” 6 For this is what the Lord says about the house of the king of Judah,

“You are like Gilead to me,
    like the summit of Lebanon.
Yet I’ll surely make you a desert,
    towns where no one lives.
7 I’ll appoint people to destroy you—
    men with their weapons.
They’ll cut down some of your choice cedars[a]
    and incinerate them.

New International Version

5 But if you do not obey(A) these commands, declares the Lord, I swear(B) by myself that this palace will become a ruin.’”

6 For this is what the Lord says about the palace of the king of Judah:

“Though you are like Gilead(C) to me,
    like the summit of Lebanon,(D)
I will surely make you like a wasteland,(E)
    like towns not inhabited.
7 I will send destroyers(F) against you,
    each man with his weapons,
and they will cut(G) up your fine cedar beams
    and throw them into the fire.(H)
