29 “Isn’t my word like fire,” asks Adonai,
“like a hammer shattering rocks?
30 So, I am against the prophets,” says Adonai,
“who steal my words from each other.
31 Yes, I am against the prophets,” says Adonai,
“who speak their own words, then add, ‘He says.’

29 “Is not my word like fire,”(A) declares the Lord, “and like a hammer(B) that breaks a rock in pieces?
30 “Therefore,” declares the Lord, “I am against(C) the prophets(D) who steal from one another words supposedly from me. 31 Yes,” declares the Lord, “I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, ‘The Lord declares.’(E)
