28 “They will refuse to take the cup from your hand. They will refuse to drink it. Then say this to them: ‘The Lord of heaven’s armies says this: You must drink from this cup. 29 I am already bringing disaster on Jerusalem. And it is the city that is called by my name. And do you think you will not be punished? You will be punished! I am sending war on all the people of the earth, says the Lord of heaven’s armies.’

30 “You will prophesy against them with these words. Say to them:

‘The Lord roars from heaven.
    He shouts from his Holy Temple.
    He roars against his land.
He will shout like people who walk on grapes to make wine.
    He will shout against all who live on the earth.

28 But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink(A), tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: You must drink it! 29 See, I am beginning to bring disaster(B) on the city that bears my Name,(C) and will you indeed go unpunished?(D) You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword(E) on all(F) who live on the earth,(G) declares the Lord Almighty.’

30 “Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them:

“‘The Lord will roar(H) from on high;
    he will thunder(I) from his holy dwelling(J)
    and roar mightily against his land.
He will shout like those who tread(K) the grapes,
    shout against all who live on the earth.

28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.

29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts.

30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
