⁹ behold, I will ^(A)send and take all the families of the north,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, ^(B)My servant, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these surrounding nations; and I will ^[a]completely destroy them and ^(C)make them an object of horror and ^[b]hissing, and an everlasting place of ruins.

⁷ For the Lord God says this: “Behold, I am going to bring upon Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, ^(A)king of kings, with horses, ^(B)chariots, cavalry, and ^[a]a great army. ⁸ He will kill your daughters ^[b]on the mainland with the sword; and he will make ^(C)siege walls against you, pile up an ^(D)assault ramp against you, and raise up a large shield against you. ⁹ And he will direct the blow of his battering rams against your walls, and he will tear down your towers with his ^[c]axes. ¹⁰ Because of the multitude of his ^(E)horses, the dust raised by them will cover you; your walls will ^(F)shake from the noise of cavalry, ^[d]wagons, and chariots when he ^(G)enters your gates as warriors enter a city that is breached.
