⁹ behold, I will ^(A)send and take all the families of the north,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, ^(B)My servant, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these surrounding nations; and I will ^[a]completely destroy them and ^(C)make them an object of horror and ^[b]hissing, and an everlasting place of ruins.

¹³ For I have ^(A)sworn by Myself,” declares the Lord, “that ^(B)Bozrah will become an ^(C)object of horror, a disgrace, a wasteland, and a curse; and all its cities will become permanent ruins.”

²⁸ And I will ^(A)make the land a desolation and a waste, and the ^(B)pride of her power will be brought to an end; and the mountains of Israel will be deserted so that no one will pass through. ²⁹ Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I make the land a desolation and a waste because of all their abominations which they have committed.”’
