Jeremiah 26:18-20

¹⁸“^[a]^(A)Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, ‘Thus the Lord of hosts has said,

“^(B)Zion will be plowed as a field,
And Jerusalem will become ruins,
And the ^(C)mountain of the house as the ^[b]high places of a forest.”’

¹⁹Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? Did he not ^(D)fear the Lord and entreat the favor of the Lord, and ^(E)the Lord ^[c]changed His mind about the misfortune which He had pronounced against them? But we are ^(F)committing a great evil against ourselves.”

²⁰Indeed, there was also a man who prophesied in the name of the Lord, Uriah the son of Shemaiah from ^(G)Kiriath-jearim; and he prophesied against this city and against this land words similar to all those of Jeremiah.

¹⁸“Micah^(A) of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah. He told all the people of Judah, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says:

“‘Zion^(B) will be plowed like a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble,^(C)
the temple hill^(D) a mound overgrown with thickets.’^[a]^(E)

¹⁹“Did Hezekiah king of Judah or anyone else in Judah put him to death? Did not Hezekiah^(F) fear the Lord and seek^(G) his favor? And did not the Lord relent,^(H) so that he did not bring the disaster^(I) he pronounced against them? We are about to bring a terrible disaster^(J) on ourselves!”

²⁰(Now Uriah son of Shemaiah from Kiriath Jearim^(K) was another man who prophesied in the name of the Lord; he prophesied the same things against this city and this land as Jeremiah did.
