22 Because of them a (A)curse will be [a]used by all the exiles from Judah who are in Babylon, saying, “May the Lord make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon (B)roasted in the fire, 23 because they have (C)acted foolishly in Israel, and (D)have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives and have (E)spoken words in My name falsely, which I did not command them; and I am He who (F)knows and am a witness,” declares the Lord.’”
24 To (G)Shemaiah the Nehelamite you shall speak, saying,

22 Because of them, all the exiles from Judah who are in Babylon will use this curse: ‘May the Lord treat you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon burned(A) in the fire.’ 23 For they have done outrageous things in Israel; they have committed adultery(B) with their neighbors’ wives, and in my name they have uttered lies—which I did not authorize. I know(C) it and am a witness(D) to it,” declares the Lord.
