7 Seek the welfare of the city to which I’ve exiled you and pray to the Lord for it, for your welfare depends on its welfare.’[a] 8 For this is what the Lord of the Heavenly Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Don’t let the prophets and diviners[b] who are among you deceive you, and don’t listen to them when they tell you their dreams.[c] 9 Indeed, they’re prophesying lies to you in my name. I didn’t send them,’ declares the Lord.

7 Also, seek(A) the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray(B) to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” 8 Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let the prophets(C) and diviners among you deceive(D) you. Do not listen to the dreams(E) you encourage them to have.(F) 9 They are prophesying lies(G) to you in my name. I have not sent(H) them,” declares the Lord.
