7 And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, (A)and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace. 8 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst (B)deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. 9 For they prophesy (C)falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the Lord.

7 Also, seek(A) the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray(B) to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” 8 Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let the prophets(C) and diviners among you deceive(D) you. Do not listen to the dreams(E) you encourage them to have.(F) 9 They are prophesying lies(G) to you in my name. I have not sent(H) them,” declares the Lord.
