Good News Translation
3 I appeared to them[a] from far away. People of Israel, I have always loved you, so I continue to show you my constant love. 4 Once again I will rebuild you. Once again you will take up your tambourines and dance joyfully. 5 Once again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria, and those who plant them will eat what the vineyards produce.

3 The Lord appeared to us in the past,[a] saying:
“I have loved(A) you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn(B) you with unfailing kindness.
4 I will build you up again,
and you, Virgin(C) Israel, will be rebuilt.(D)
Again you will take up your timbrels(E)
and go out to dance(F) with the joyful.(G)
5 Again you will plant(H) vineyards
on the hills of Samaria;(I)
the farmers will plant them
and enjoy their fruit.(J)

3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
4 Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.
5 Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.
