4 For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defence against the mounds and against the sword; 5 while men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city: 6 Behold, I will bring it [a]health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal unto them abundance of peace and truth.

4 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says about the houses in this city and the royal palaces of Judah that have been torn down to be used against the siege(A) ramps(B) and the sword 5 in the fight with the Babylonians[a]: ‘They will be filled with the dead bodies of the people I will slay in my anger and wrath.(C) I will hide my face(D) from this city because of all its wickedness.
6 “‘Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal(E) my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace(F) and security.
