Jeremiah 36:3-5
Expanded Bible
3 Maybe the ·family [L house] of Judah will hear what ·disasters [evil; troubles] I am planning to ·bring on [L do to] them and will ·stop doing wicked things [L turn back from his evil ways/paths]. Then I would forgive them for ·the sins and the evil things they have done [L their iniquities and their sins].”
4 So Jeremiah called for Baruch son of Neriah [32:12; 43:3, 6; 45:1–2]. ·Jeremiah spoke the messages the Lord had given him, and Baruch wrote those messages [L Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord which he spoke to him] on the scroll. 5 Then Jeremiah commanded Baruch, “I cannot go to the ·Temple [L house] of the Lord. I ·must stay here [L am confined/restricted/imprisoned].

3 Perhaps(A) when the people of Judah hear(B) about every disaster I plan to inflict on them, they will each turn(C) from their wicked ways; then I will forgive(D) their wickedness and their sin.”
4 So Jeremiah called Baruch(E) son of Neriah,(F) and while Jeremiah dictated(G) all the words the Lord had spoken to him, Baruch wrote them on the scroll.(H) 5 Then Jeremiah told Baruch, “I am restricted; I am not allowed to go to the Lord’s temple.
