7 The Lord is the God of Israel. He says, “The king of Judah has sent you to ask me for advice. Tell him, ‘Pharaoh’s army has marched out to help you. But it will go back to its own land. It will return to Egypt. 8 Then the armies of Babylon will come back here. They will attack this city. They will capture it. Then they will burn it down.’
9 “The Lord says, ‘Do not fool yourselves. You think, “The Babylonians will leave us alone.” But they will not!

7 “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Tell the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire(A) of me, ‘Pharaoh’s army, which has marched(B) out to support you, will go back to its own land, to Egypt.(C) 8 Then the Babylonians will return and attack this city; they will capture(D) it and burn(E) it down.’
9 “This is what the Lord says: Do not deceive(F) yourselves, thinking, ‘The Babylonians will surely leave us.’ They will not!
