12 “Take him, look after him, and don’t let any harm come to him; do for him whatever he says.” 13 Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, Nebushazban the Rab-saris, Nergal-sharezer the Rab-mag, and all the captains of the king of Babylon 14 had Jeremiah brought from the guard’s courtyard(A) and turned him over to Gedaliah(B) son of Ahikam,(C) son of Shaphan, to take him home. So he settled among his own people.

New International Version
12 “Take him and look after him; don’t harm(A) him but do for him whatever he asks.” 13 So Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard, Nebushazban a chief officer, Nergal-Sharezer a high official and all the other officers(B) of the king of Babylon 14 sent and had Jeremiah taken out of the courtyard of the guard.(C) They turned him over to Gedaliah(D) son of Ahikam,(E) the son of Shaphan,(F) to take him back to his home. So he remained among his own people.(G)
