²⁴I looked at the mountains,
and they were quaking;^(A)
all the hills were swaying.

⁴⁶At the ^[a]shout, “Babylon has been conquered!” the ^(A)earth quakes, and an ^(B)outcry is heard among the nations.

⁴⁶At the sound of Babylon’s capture the earth will tremble;^(A)
its cry^(B) will resound among the nations.
