12 So they and their troops chased Ishmael and caught up with him at the large pit at Gibeon. 13 When Ishmael's prisoners saw Johanan and the officers, they were happy 14 and turned around and ran toward Johanan.

12 they took all their men and went to fight(A) Ishmael son of Nethaniah. They caught up with him near the great pool(B) in Gibeon. 13 When all the people(C) Ishmael had with him saw Johanan son of Kareah and the army officers who were with him, they were glad. 14 All the people Ishmael had taken captive at Mizpah(D) turned and went over to Johanan son of Kareah.
