12 they took all their men and went to fight with Ishmael son of Nethaniah. They found him by the great pool in Gibeon.(A) 13 When all the people held by Ishmael saw Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the army with him, they rejoiced. 14 All the people whom Ishmael had taken captive from Mizpah turned around and rejoined Johanan son of Kareah.

12 they took all their men and went to fight(A) Ishmael son of Nethaniah. They caught up with him near the great pool(B) in Gibeon. 13 When all the people(C) Ishmael had with him saw Johanan son of Kareah and the army officers who were with him, they were glad. 14 All the people Ishmael had taken captive at Mizpah(D) turned and went over to Johanan son of Kareah.
