10 ‘If you will stay in Judah, I will make you strong. I will not destroy you. I will plant you, and I will not pull you up. This is because I am sad about the disaster I brought on you. 11 Now you are afraid of the king of Babylon. But don’t be afraid of him. Don’t be afraid of the king of Babylon,’ says the Lord. ‘I am with you. I will save you. I will rescue you from his power. 12 I will be kind to you. And the king of Babylon will also treat you with mercy. He will bring you back to your land.’

10 ‘If you stay in this land,(A) I will build(B) you up and not tear you down; I will plant(C) you and not uproot you,(D) for I have relented concerning the disaster I have inflicted on you.(E) 11 Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon,(F) whom you now fear.(G) Do not be afraid of him, declares the Lord, for I am with you and will save(H) you and deliver you from his hands.(I) 12 I will show you compassion(J) so that he will have compassion on you and restore you to your land.’(K)

11 Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the Lord: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

12 And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.
