3 But (A)Baruch the son of Neriah has [a]set you against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may put us to death or carry us away captive to Babylon.” 4 So Johanan the son of Kareah, all the captains of the forces, and all the people would (B)not obey the voice of the Lord, to remain in the land of Judah. 5 But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces took (C)all the remnant of Judah who had returned to dwell in the land of Judah, from all nations where they had been driven—

3 But Baruch(A) son of Neriah is inciting you against us to hand us over to the Babylonians,[a] so they may kill us or carry us into exile to Babylon.”(B)
4 So Johanan son of Kareah and all the army officers and all the people(C) disobeyed the Lord’s command(D) to stay in the land of Judah.(E) 5 Instead, Johanan son of Kareah and all the army officers led away all the remnant of Judah who had come back to live in the land of Judah from all the nations where they had been scattered.(F)
