13 I’ll punish those who live in the land of Egypt just as I punished Jerusalem—with the sword, with famine, and with plague. 14 Of the remnant of Judah that came into the land of Egypt to settle there, no one will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah where they long to return and live.[a] Indeed, they won’t return, except for some[b] refugees.’”
The Refugees Refuse to Repent
15 Then all the men who knew that their wives were offering sacrifices to other gods and all the women who were standing by—a large group, including all the people who were living in the land of Egypt in Pathros—answered Jeremiah:

13 I will punish(A) those who live in Egypt with the sword,(B) famine and plague,(C) as I punished Jerusalem. 14 None of the remnant of Judah who have gone to live in Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah, to which they long to return and live; none will return except a few fugitives.”(D)
15 Then all the men who knew that their wives(E) were burning incense(F) to other gods, along with all the women(G) who were present—a large assembly—and all the people living in Lower and Upper Egypt,(H) said to Jeremiah,
