13 (A)For I will punish those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, 14 so that none of the remnant of Judah who have gone into the land of Egypt to dwell there shall escape or survive, lest they return to the land of Judah, to which they (B)desire[a] to return and dwell. For (C)none shall return except those who escape.’ ”
15 Then all the men who knew that their wives had burned incense to other gods, with all the women who stood by, a great multitude, and all the people who dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying:

13 I will punish(A) those who live in Egypt with the sword,(B) famine and plague,(C) as I punished Jerusalem. 14 None of the remnant of Judah who have gone to live in Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah, to which they long to return and live; none will return except a few fugitives.”(D)
15 Then all the men who knew that their wives(E) were burning incense(F) to other gods, along with all the women(G) who were present—a large assembly—and all the people living in Lower and Upper Egypt,(H) said to Jeremiah,
