3 Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for Jehovah hath added sorrow to my pain; I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest. 4 Thus shalt thou say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land. 5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not; for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith Jehovah; but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.

The Lord has added sorrow(B) to my pain;(C) I am worn out with groaning(D) and find no rest.’(E) 4 But the Lord has told me to say to you, ‘This is what the Lord says: I will overthrow what I have built and uproot(F) what I have planted,(G) throughout the earth.(H) 5 Should you then seek great(I) things for yourself? Do not seek them.(J) For I will bring disaster(K) on all people,(L) declares the Lord, but wherever you go I will let you escape(M) with your life.’”(N)
