(A)“Son of man, (B)set your face against (C)Pharaoh king of Egypt, (D)and prophesy against him and (E)against all Egypt; speak, and say, Thus says the Lord God:

(F)“Behold, I am against you,
    Pharaoh king of Egypt,
(G)the great dragon that lies
    in the midst of his streams,
(H)that says, ‘My Nile is my own;
    I made it for myself.’
I will (I)put hooks in your jaws,
    and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales;
and I will draw you up out of the midst of your streams,
    with all the fish of your streams
    that stick to your scales.
(J)And I will cast you out into the wilderness,
    you and all the fish of your streams;
you shall fall (K)on the open field,
    and (L)not be brought together or gathered.
To the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the heavens
    (M)I give you as food.

Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.

21 (A)“Son of man, (B)I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and behold, (C)it has not been bound up, to heal it by binding it with a bandage, so that it may become strong to wield the sword. 22 Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt and (D)will break his arms, both the strong arm and the one that was broken, and I will make the sword fall from his hand. 23 (E)I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them through the countries. 24 And (F)I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put (G)my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him (H)like a man mortally wounded.

It has not been bound up to be healed(C) or put in a splint so that it may become strong enough to hold a sword. 22 Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt.(D) I will break both his arms, the good arm as well as the broken one, and make the sword fall from his hand.(E) 23 I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.(F) 24 I will strengthen(G) the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword(H) in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan(I) before him like a mortally wounded man.

22 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

23 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
