4 Harness the horses and prepare to mount them—don your helmets, sharpen your spears, put on your armor. 5 But look! The Egyptian army flees in terror; the mightiest of its soldiers run without a backward glance. Yes, terror shall surround them on every side, says the Lord. 6 The swift will not escape, nor the mightiest of warriors. In the north, by the river Euphrates, they have stumbled and fallen.

4 Harness the horses,
mount the steeds!
Take your positions
with helmets on!
Polish(A) your spears,
put on your armor!(B)
5 What do I see?
They are terrified,
they are retreating,
their warriors are defeated.
They flee(C) in haste
without looking back,
and there is terror(D) on every side,”
declares the Lord.
6 “The swift cannot flee(E)
nor the strong escape.
