34 (A)“From the outcry at Heshbon even to Elealeh, as far as Jahaz they utter their voice, from Zoar to (B)Horonaim and Eglath-shelishiyah. For the waters of Nimrim also have become desolate. 35 And I will bring to an end in Moab, declares the Lord, him who offers sacrifice in (C)the high place and makes offerings to his god. 36 Therefore my heart moans for Moab like a flute, and my heart moans like a flute for the men of (D)Kir-hareseth. 34 “The sound of their cry rises
    from Heshbon(A) to Elealeh(B) and Jahaz,(C)
from Zoar(D) as far as Horonaim(E) and Eglath Shelishiyah,
    for even the waters of Nimrim are dried up.(F)
35 In Moab I will put an end
    to those who make offerings on the high places(G)
    and burn incense(H) to their gods,”
declares the Lord.
36 “So my heart laments(I) for Moab like the music of a pipe;
    it laments like a pipe for the people of Kir Hareseth.(J)
    The wealth they acquired(K) is gone.
