6 Flee! Save yourselves!
You will be like (A)a juniper in the desert!
7 For, (B)because you trusted in your works and your treasures,
you also shall be taken;
and (C)Chemosh (D)shall go into exile
with (E)his priests and his officials.
8 (F)The destroyer shall come upon every city,
and no city shall escape;
the valley shall perish,
and (G)the plain shall be destroyed,
as the Lord has spoken.

6 Flee!(A) Run for your lives;
become like a bush[a] in the desert.(B)
7 Since you trust in your deeds and riches,(C)
you too will be taken captive,
and Chemosh(D) will go into exile,(E)
together with his priests and officials.(F)
8 The destroyer(G) will come against every town,
and not a town will escape.
The valley will be ruined
and the plateau(H) destroyed,
because the Lord has spoken.
