⁹ He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath,^[a] prophesy, son of man. Say to it: This is what the Lord God says: Breath, come from the four winds and breathe into these slain so that they may live!”^(A)

² Daniel said, “In my vision at night I was watching, and suddenly the four winds of heaven^(A) stirred up the great sea.

⁸ Then the male goat became very great,^(A) but when he became powerful, the large horn was shattered.^(B) Four conspicuous horns came up in its place, pointing toward the four winds of heaven.^(C)

⁶ “Get up! Leave the land of the north”^(A)—this is the Lord’s declaration—“for I have scattered you like the four winds of heaven”—this is the Lord’s declaration.

⁵ The angel told me, “These are the four spirits^[a](A) of heaven going out after presenting themselves to the Lord of the whole earth.

7 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth,^(A) restraining the four winds of the earth so that no wind could blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.
