Your valley is flowing away,

“Behold, I am going to bring (E)terror upon you,”
Declares the Lord [a]God of hosts,
“From all directions around you;
And each of you will be (F)driven out [b]headlong,
With no one to gather the (G)fugitives together.
“But afterward I will (H)restore
The [c]fortunes of the sons of Ammon,”

Why do you boast of your valleys,
    boast of your valleys so fruitful?
