³⁴ Their Redeemer is strong;
Yahweh of Hosts is His name.
He will fervently plead their case^(A)
so that He might bring rest to the earth
but turmoil to those who live in Babylon.^(B)

⁸ For this reason her plagues will come in one day^[a]—
death and grief and famine.
She will be burned up with fire,
because the Lord God who judges her is mighty.
