Jeremiah 50:6-8
New Catholic Bible
6 My people were lost sheep;
their shepherds led them astray
and caused them to roam on the mountains.
They wandered over mountains and hills
and lost the way to their fold.
7 Whoever came upon them devoured them,
and their enemies insisted,
“We incur no guilt,
because they have sinned
against the Lord, their true pasture,
against the Lord, the hope of their fathers.”
8 Flee from Babylon and the land of the Chaldeans;
be like male goats leading the flock.
