Good News Translation
3 Don't give its soldiers time to shoot their arrows or to put on their armor. Do not spare the young men! Destroy the whole army! 4 They will be wounded and die in the streets of their cities. 5 I, the Lord God Almighty, have not abandoned Israel and Judah, even though they have sinned against me, the Holy One of Israel.

3 Let not the archer string his bow,(A)
nor let him put on his armor.(B)
Do not spare her young men;
completely destroy[a] her army.
4 They will fall(C) down slain in Babylon,[b]
fatally wounded in her streets.(D)
5 For Israel and Judah have not been forsaken(E)
by their God, the Lord Almighty,
though their land[c] is full of guilt(F)
before the Holy One of Israel.
