Jeremiah 51:3-5

3 “[a]Let not [b]him who [c](A)bends his bow [d]bend it,
[e]Nor let him rise up in his (B)scale-armor;
So do not spare her young men;
Devote all her army to destruction.
4 “They will fall down [f]slain in the land of the Chaldeans,
And (C)pierced through in their streets.”
5 For (D)neither Israel nor Judah has been [g]forsaken
By his God, the Lord of hosts,
Although their land is (E)full of guilt
[h]Before the Holy One of Israel.

New International Version
3 Let not the archer string his bow,(A)
nor let him put on his armor.(B)
Do not spare her young men;
completely destroy[a] her army.
4 They will fall(C) down slain in Babylon,[b]
fatally wounded in her streets.(D)
5 For Israel and Judah have not been forsaken(E)
by their God, the Lord Almighty,
though their land[c] is full of guilt(F)
before the Holy One of Israel.
