8 But the Babylonian army chased King Zedekiah. They caught up with him in the plains of Jericho. All of his army was scattered from him. 9 So they captured Zedekiah and took him to the king of Babylon at Riblah. Riblah is in the land of Hamath. There he passed sentence on Zedekiah. 10 There at Riblah the king of Babylon killed Zedekiah’s sons as he watched. The king also killed all the officers of Judah.

New International Version
8 but the Babylonian[a] army pursued King Zedekiah and overtook him in the plains of Jericho. All his soldiers were separated from him and scattered, 9 and he was captured.(A)
He was taken to the king of Babylon at Riblah(B) in the land of Hamath,(C) where he pronounced sentence on him. 10 There at Riblah the king of Babylon killed the sons(D) of Zedekiah before his eyes; he also killed all the officials of Judah.
