Jeremiah 8:11-13
New American Standard Bible 1995
11 “They (A)heal the brokenness of the daughter of My people superficially,
Saying, ‘Peace, peace,’
But there is no peace.
12 “Were they (B)ashamed because of the abomination they had done?
They certainly were not ashamed,
And they did not know how to blush;
Therefore they shall (C)fall among those who fall;
At the (D)time of their punishment they shall be brought down,”
Says the Lord.
13 “I will (E)surely snatch them away,” declares the Lord;
“There will be (F)no grapes on the vine
And (G)no figs on the fig tree,
And the leaf will wither;
And what I have given them will pass away.”’”
Jeremiah 8:11-13
New International Version
11 They dress the wound of my people
as though it were not serious.
“Peace, peace,” they say,
when there is no peace.(A)
12 Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct?
No, they have no shame(B) at all;
they do not even know how to blush.
So they will fall among the fallen;
they will be brought down when they are punished,(C)
says the Lord.(D)
