9 Ashamed have been the wise, They have been affrighted, and are captured, Lo, against a word of Jehovah they kicked, And the wisdom of what -- have they?
10 Therefore, I give their wives to others, Their fields to dispossessors, For from the least even unto the greatest, Every one is gaining dishonest gain, From prophet even unto priest, every one is dealing falsely.
11 And they heal the breach of the daughter of my people slightly, Saying, Peace, peace! and there is no peace.

Jeremiah 8:9-11
New International Version
9 The wise(A) will be put to shame;
they will be dismayed(B) and trapped.(C)
Since they have rejected the word(D) of the Lord,
what kind of wisdom(E) do they have?
10 Therefore I will give their wives to other men
and their fields to new owners.(F)
From the least to the greatest,
all are greedy for gain;(G)
prophets(H) and priests alike,
all practice deceit.(I)
11 They dress the wound of my people
as though it were not serious.
“Peace, peace,” they say,
when there is no peace.(J)
