⁸ The ^(A)priests did not say, ‘Where is the Lord?’
And those who handle the Law ^(B)did not know Me;
The ^[a]rulers also revolted against Me,
And the ^(C)prophets prophesied by Baal
And walked after ^(D)things that were of no benefit.

³ “They ^(A)bend their tongues like their bows;
Lies and not truth prevail in the land;
For they ^(B)proceed from evil to evil,
And they ^(C)do not know Me,” declares the Lord.

⁶ Your ^(A)dwelling is in the midst of deceit;
Through deceit they ^(B)refuse to know Me,” declares the Lord.
