^25 (A)I looked, and behold, there was no man,
    and all the birds of the air had fled.

¹⁰ “I will take up weeping and wailing for the mountains,
    and a lamentation for ^(A)the pastures of the wilderness,
^(B)because they are laid waste so that no one passes through,
    and the lowing of cattle is not heard;
^(C)both the birds of the air and the beasts
    have fled and are gone.

³ Therefore ^(A)the land mourns,
    and all who dwell in it languish,
^(B)and also the beasts of the field
    and the birds of the heavens,
    ^(C)and even the fish of the sea are taken away.
