²¹Before I go whence I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;

²¹Before I go to the place from which I shall not return,
^(A)To the land of darkness ^(B)and the shadow of death,

¹⁹Can anyone bring charges against me?^(A)
If so, I will be silent^(B) and die.^(C)

¹⁹Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.

¹⁹^(A)Who is he who will contend with me?
If now I hold my tongue, I perish.
