15 ^1-2Empty words, Job! Empty words!
³No one who is wise would talk the way you do
or defend himself with such meaningless words.
⁴If you had your way, no one would fear God;
no one would pray to him.

²“Would a wise person answer with empty notions
    or fill their belly with the hot east wind?^(A)
³Would they argue with useless words,
    with speeches that have no value?^(B)
⁴But you even undermine piety
    and hinder devotion to God.^(C)
