And may there be no resting place for my cry.

¹⁸“Earth, do not cover my blood;^(A)
may my cry^(B) never be laid to rest!^(C)

⁵⁰so that the blood of all the prophets, shed ^(A)since the foundation of the world, may be charged ^[a]against this generation,

⁵⁰Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world,
