²⁰My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God.

²⁴One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.^(A)

²⁴A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

⁴“I tell you, my friends,^(A) do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.
