I could join words together against you

“‘She despises you, she scorns you—
    ^(A)the virgin daughter of Zion;
she wags her head behind you—
    the daughter of Jerusalem.

¹⁶ making their land ^(A)a horror,
    a thing ^(B)to be hissed at for ever.
^(C)Everyone who passes by it is horrified
    ^(D)and shakes his head.

¹⁵ All who pass along the way
    clap their hands at you;
^(A)they hiss and wag their heads
    at the daughter of Jerusalem:
“Is this the city that was called
    ^(B)the perfection of beauty,
    ^(C)the joy of all the earth?”
