at midnight the people are shaken and pass away,

²⁰They die in an instant, in the middle of the night;^(A)
the people are shaken and they pass away;
the mighty are removed without human hand.^(B)

¹⁰and the rich in having been humbled, because the rich will disappear like a flower in the field.^(A)

¹⁰But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.^(A)
