⁷Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?

⁶Surely you have granted him unending blessings
and made him glad with the joy^(A) of your presence.^(B)

⁶For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

⁷May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever;^(A)
appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.^(B)

⁷He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
