¹³He takes the wise in their own prudence, and the counsel of his adversaries is turned to folly.

¹⁴They meet with darkness in the daytime and grope in the noonday as in the night.

¹⁵But he saves the poor from the sword, from the mouth of the wicked, and from the hand of the violent.

    and the schemes of the wily are swept away.^(C)
¹⁴Darkness^(D) comes upon them in the daytime;
    at noon they grope as in the night.^(E)
¹⁵He saves the needy^(F) from the sword in their mouth;
    he saves them from the clutches of the powerful.^(G)
