¹⁴To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.

³Will your idle talk^(A) reduce others to silence?
Will no one rebuke you when you mock?^(B)

³Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

²¹You rebuke the arrogant,^(A) who are accursed,^(B)
those who stray^(C) from your commands.

²¹Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.
